We are currently looking for runners and walkers interested in serving on the 2008 Dallas Running Club Board of Directors. Candidates should have a passion for the sport and helping people. They should be dependable, willing to be accountable for a committee or program within the club. It doesn’t have to be an existing program; it can be a new one you are interested in starting.
Since January 1, 2007, the club has grown from a little under 1,600 members to more than 2,400. The club’s board is responsible for making decisions and implementing programs for the full membership. Candidates for the 2008 Board should be motivated in helping continue this great membership growth while still providing great benefits to our membership and enhancing the programs we provide. In addition to implementing programs and helping maintain the club, the Board meets once a month, the Tuesday before the first Saturday of the month (which is usually a club race). We also ask our board members to help out at our club race each month.

We are looking forward to another wonderful year with the club where we can help a lot of people get active, stay active, and have fun while doing it!
