The MWH 8th Annual Trinity River Levee Run

The partners of the Trinity River Levee Run invite you to participate in the one-of-a-kind festivities scheduled to light up the Southwest in celebration of the new Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge which opens March 2-4, 2012! Runners will join in the city-wide celebration as Dallas cheers during the opening. Don’t just watch history being made on the television or through social media – come on out and race with us!
The 8th Trinity River Levee Run kicks off the day-long bridge festivities on March 3, 2012. Media attention will naturally be focused on the bridge opening and you can be part of it with your family and friends with a run across a beautiful bridge and the Trinity River!

Course Maps:
The 5K and 10K routes will start on the west side of the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge, cross to the Riverfront Blvd. and go north. The 5K will turn around at the 2.5K point and return on the same route to the west side of the bridge. The 10K route will go through the Dallas Design District before going back across the Margaret Hunt Hill bridge and finishing on the west side of the bridge. The Fun Run will start on the est side of the bridge at 5K/10K start line, cross to the east side of the bridge, then return to the 5K/10K finish line.

General Public Online Registration through February 28: $30
Everyone pays $40 at packet pickup and on race day.

Registration
You can register online for the Trinity River Levee Run until Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at 11:59 PM.
Registration will be available during packet pickup at Luke''s Locker Dallas and on race day, but at a higher entry fee ($40 for everyone).
No mail-in pre-registration.
Packet Pickup
All race participants can pick up their shirts, bibs and race information at Luke’s Locker, Dallas, Texas during store hours (10-7) on Thursday March 1 and Friday March 2.

Top 3 finishers in the following age groups: 0-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+.
Sprint: Awards TDB
Fun Run: No awards
Top 3 finishers in Athena (women over 155 pounds) and Clydesdale (men over 195) category. You are not eligible for age group awards if you participate in the Athena/Clydesdale category. To participate in Athena/Clydesdale, you must check the check box during the registration process. You can not be added to that category later.

Liability Waiver
EVENT WAIVER (READ CAREFULLY. MUST BE SIGNED BY PARTICIPANT AND PARENT OR GUARDIAN, IF A MINOR PARTICIPANT)
In consideration of my participation (or that of my child or ward who is participating) in this event, I, the undersigned, agree to assume the risks incidental to such participation. I certify that participant is in good health, and has prepared adequately to participate in this event.
Participant agrees to abide by all rules of the race and understand and agree that participant may be removed from the course or further participation, if, in the opinion of the race directors, continuing would endanger participant’s health or the safety of others. It is understood that bicycles, skateboards, baby joggers, roller blades or skates, and animals are not allowed in the race.
I assume full and complete responsibility for any injury or accident which may occur during the event or while on the premises of the event or course, and I forever hold harmless, discharge and release: the City of Dallas, Texas; The Dallas Running Club; the Trinity Commons Foundation, the Trinity River Levee Run, and its Board of Directors; race and event sponsors; race volunteers; and all other persons or entities associated with this event—from any and all claims for injury or damage arising in any manner from participation in this event, whether such injuries or damage be caused by their negligence or other participants.
I agree and consent to allow participant’s name, any photo, video, audio or other likeness of participant, (inclusively called “recording”) to be used for any legitimate purpose by the event holders, producers, sponsors, organizers and assigns, including use of recording on television or in media print. I waive any right to preview any such recording before its publication. And, I waive any claim or cause of action against all such event holders, producers, sponsors, organizers and assigns for legitimate promotional or other uses made of such recording.
